Initial set up
We believe in setting people up for success. In this call we lay out what we need from you, what you can expect from us, and what is unique about your business.
Bank and credit card reconciliations
We ensure your financial records match your bank and credit card account balances. This ensures everything is accounted for. With regular reconciliations you get reliable financial information.
Record GST/PST on individual transactions
We track the tax on each transaction to ensure accuracy. This means no more last minute scrambling the night before your return is due. We also perform analytics to ensure things make sense.
Adjust for business-use-of-home expenses
If you work from home, you can claim a portion of your living expenses. We calculate and record them manually at year-end to ensure you get the maximum deductions on your tax return.
Adjust for vehicle expenses
Did you know you can claim a portion of your vehicle expenses if you use your vehicle for work? We calculate and record them manually at year-end to ensure you get the maximum deductions on your tax return.
Balance sheet
We send you a monthly balance sheet that shows what your company owns and owes. It also shows the value of your business (called retained earnings). This helps you plan for things like upcoming tax payments and making decisions like expanding your business.
Statement of profit and loss
We send you a monthly statement of profit and loss that shows how your business is performing. While you may have a feeling for how things are going, this report breaks down exactly where your money is going, helping you improve operations or make adjustments before it's too late.
Payment reminders
The CRA requires most businesses to pre-pay their taxes (called instalments), similar to how an employer withholds tax on a paycheque. We remind you every time a payment is due, so you never pay interest on overdue payments.
GST return
If your business earns more than $30,000 annually you’re required to file a GST return. Did you know you can deducted GST paid on business expenses from GST collected? We file for you to ensure accuracy.
Personal tax return
